TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. INTRODUCTION

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the SalaamGCC platform, including websites, applications, marketplace services, dropshipping systems, classified listings, booking services, and related infrastructure (collectively, the “Platform”).

By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform immediately.

2. PLATFORM STRUCTURE & LEGAL ENTITY

The Platform operates under the SalaamGCC (UAE Entity).

SalaamGCC is operated under the laws of the United Arab Emirates and regulated under the Dubai Economic Department (DED). The entity is responsible only for its own regional operations and users.

3. PLATFORM ROLE (GLOBAL)

The Platform operates as a multi-model marketplace and technology facilitator, providing different service types depending on the use case:

  • Ecommerce marketplace (verified business sellers)
  • Dropshipping system (supplier-integrated fulfillment)
  • Classified ads platform (user-to-user listings)
  • Booking and service listings (where applicable)

The Platform does not act as seller, reseller, or direct service provider unless explicitly stated.

4. USER ELIGIBILITY

Users must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or legal age in their jurisdiction
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Comply with applicable local laws
  • Maintain secure account credentials

5. MARKETPLACE MODELS

The Platform operates under three distinct models:

5.1 E-COMMERCE (BUSINESS SELLERS)

  • Verified businesses list and sell products
  • Platform facilitates listing, payment, escrow, and disputes
  • Sellers remain fully responsible for product quality, shipping, and compliance
  • Buyers are protected through escrow and dispute resolution

Platform acts only as marketplace facilitator and payment intermediary.

5.2 DROPSHIPPING MODEL

  • Products are sourced from approved suppliers (including Alibaba ecosystem partners)
  • Platform handles payment, escrow, logistics coordination, and tax processing (where applicable)
  • Supplier handles manufacturing, packaging, and delivery

Dropshippers earn profit via markup, with no guaranteed income.

5.3 CLASSIFIED ADS

  • Users post listings for products, services, jobs, vehicles, properties
  • Platform provides listing space only
  • All transactions occur directly between users outside the Platform

Platform is not involved in payments, delivery, or agreements.

6. ESCROW SYSTEM

Escrow applies only to:

  • Ecommerce transactions
  • Dropshipping transactions

Funds are:

  • Held securely after payment
  • Released after delivery confirmation or dispute resolution

Classified ads are excluded from escrow.

7. DISPUTES & BUYER PROTECTION

  • Disputes must be submitted within 14 days of delivery
  • Evidence may be required from both parties
  • The Platform acts as a neutral mediator

Buyer Protection applies only to:

  • Non-delivery
  • Wrong items
  • Damaged goods

Final decisions are binding within the Platform system.

8. PAYMENTS & PLATFORM FEES

  • Platform may charge service fees (e.g., 5%) on applicable transactions
  • Fees are deducted before payouts
  • Payment processing is handled securely via Platform systems

9. TAX & COMPLIANCE

Tax responsibility depends on the model:

  • Ecommerce → Seller responsible for tax compliance
  • Dropshipping → Platform may handle tax calculation and collection where legally required
  • Classified Ads → Users responsible for their own tax obligations

The Platform may provide tax calculation tools but does not assume general tax liability except where required by law.

10. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

Users must not:

  • Engage in fraud or deceptive practices
  • Sell illegal or restricted goods
  • Manipulate transactions or disputes
  • Misuse Platform systems or APIs
  • Provide false identity or business information

11. CONTENT & LISTINGS

  • Users are responsible for all content they publish
  • The Platform may remove or modify content at its discretion
  • The Platform does not guarantee accuracy of listings

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Platform is not responsible for user-to-user transactions (classified model)
  • The Platform is not responsible for product quality or seller performance
  • The Platform is not liable for indirect or business losses

Liability is limited to the extent required under applicable Swedish or UAE law depending on entity.

13. GOVERNING LAW

  • Governed by United Arab Emirates law
  • Subject to Dubai Economic Department (DED) regulations

Cross-border disputes default to the entity responsible for the transaction.

14. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION

The Platform may:

  • Suspend or terminate accounts
  • Withhold payments during investigations
  • Remove listings without notice

For fraud, abuse, or legal compliance violations.

15. CHANGES TO TERMS

The Platform may update these Terms at any time. Continued use means acceptance of updated Terms.

16. ACCEPTANCE

By using the Platform, users confirm that they:

  • Understand the applicable model they are using
  • Accept these Terms and all related policies
  • Agree to comply with applicable laws and regulations
